Zim Humanities was founded by Brian Maregedze in 2016 with a quest to reach high school learners as well as other Humanities Specialists up to Tertiary level. The platform offers critical and cutting edge analysis on religious, historical and political issues focusing on Southern Africa.
Brian Maregedze has sole authored and co-authored high school textbooks for learners in Zimbabwe and Africa in general. He has also contributed in local and international newspapers including Sunday News Zimbabwe, The Herald, The Standard, Pambazuka News to mention only these among many. Some of his writings have also been published in reputable academic journals including African Studies Quarterly among others. He is currently a Research Associate with Leaders for Africa Network, a Pan-African research think-tank and an Academic Tutor for high school learners. Among other things, Brian has also presented high school Seminars across Zimbabwe in History, Sociology and Family & Religious Studies.
Brian has tutoring experience ranging from high school to university in the Humanities. At some point, he was a Teaching Assistant at the University of Zimbabwe in the department of History. It is also during this time at University of Zimbabwe that he developed interests in carrying out Career Guidance workshops, seminars to high school learners and ever since then, he has successfully build a large network of learners who have a zeal for success.

Chipo M. Chigume
If there’s someone who can explain anything, Chipo (popularly known as Mamoyo-her totem) is the one. She teaches you not just how to do something, but why to do it this way and not the other. She holds a B. A Honours (Special) in African Languages with research interests in popular culture, ethnomusicology and has a passion for professional counselling. She also holds a B.A major in Religious Studies, Linguistics and African Languages-all from the University of Zimbabwe.
